Daily Routine
Sword x Staff Daily Routine
A prioritized checklist for efficient daily progression.
This routine is built from community-verified strategies and focuses on what gives the highest return per action — for F2P and spenders alike.
Overview
This daily routine is organized by priority order, not time order. If you're short on time, work top-to-bottom. The first 4 items give ~80% of daily value. The game features a "sleep to power" mechanic — your character grows even while offline.
Daily checklist (priority order)
1. Collect AFK / idle rewards
Upon login, immediately collect all accumulated offline resources — EXP, gold, and materials. The idle system caps out eventually, so don't let it sit at max. This takes 10 seconds and is the single highest-value action per day.
2. Daily vendor & shops
The daily vendor is one of the most important daily stops. Check every day for upgrade materials, Phantom Beast resources, stamina items, and farming materials. Refresh the shop with gold — it's worth it, even for F2P.
- Kingdom Shop: Prioritize map-unlocking and exploration items (thorns, giant rocks, coral removal).
- Guild Shop: Spend on Phantom Beast raising materials.
- Event Shop: Check for limited-time freebies — they help new players catch up fast.
3. Map object interactions
Several map objects reset daily and provide significant rewards:
- Goddess Statue: If map exploration reaches 100%, removes fog and boosts idle drop efficiency. Prioritize activating these.
- Cursed Witch / Hero Statue: Interact daily for a buff (or debuff). First-time touch grants permanent rewards.
- Stone Tablet Quiz: Answer lore-based questions correctly for large resource payouts. Do this every day.
4. Daily quests & dungeons
Finish all Daily Quests for random gem chests and resources. Run solo dungeons at Normal and Hard difficulty for gear farming. Multiplayer dungeons are a key source of rare materials — at least run the ones matching your element.
- Guild Boss: Defeat for large EXP and rare drops. Participate actively even if you're not the top damage dealer.
- 6-Player Raids: Endgame content with rotating elemental weaknesses. Build multiple elemental setups over time.
5. Map exploration & resource gathering
Push to 100% map exploration in each region. Activate undiscovered Goddess Statues to clear fog. Unlock Elemental Gates (requires specific attributes like Fire/Water).
- Stamina-consuming resources (gold ore, rough refining stone, battle-hardened essence): limited but high-value — spend wisely.
- Free resources (potatoes, rice, bird eggs): collect during long AFK sessions.
- Puzzle mechanisms (e.g., Golden Beetle): solve for bonus rewards.
6. Guild activities
- Guild Farm: Plant and harvest at least once daily in Attack/Defense/Healing categories. Greatly reduces Phantom Beast raising pressure.
- Guild Donation: Do the three basic donations every day for stable resources.
- Guild War: Participate whenever available for massive EXP and rare materials.
7. Gem & equipment management
Collect gems from dungeons, daily quests, and guild activities. Synthesize lower-tier gems into higher tiers (3:1 ratio). Upgrade core gems first — don't spread resources thin. See Gems Guide for class-specific recommendations.
8. Main quest push & stamina management
Push the main story to unlock new features and regions. Don't waste stamina on optional map monsters — save it for gear farming, high-value resource nodes, and critical boss fights. If progression slows, return to unexplored areas before continuing the main quest.

F2P efficiency tips
- Save skill pulls: Don't spend pulls on Tier 1 skills. Save for Tier 2+ skills which are much stronger.
- Selector at ~200 pulls: After about 200 pulls on the normal banner, you get a selector to pick any skill. Plan around this.
- Relic completion: Aim for at least 50% relic completion in every region. Focus on your main element's set bonuses.
- Map obstacles: Unlock thorns, giant rocks, and coral with Kingdom Shop Coins — this improves idle farming efficiency long-term.
- Event exchanges: Keep an eye on limited-time event freebies — they help new players catch up fast.
- Don't reroll: The game gives hundreds of free pulls and a selector at 200 pulls. Rerolling wastes time.
Class-specific daily focus
| Class | Daily priority |
|---|---|
| Duelist (S-Tier) | Rush 4th promotion (Conqueror). Farm Judgment Blade → Strike Armor Break → Blade Dance. |
| Sorcerer | Fastest clear speed. Prioritize Heavenly Thunder → Flare Core Burst for dungeon farming. |
| Knight | Save tickets for 3rd promotion Starfall Slash. Best for mid-to-high spenders. |
| Sage | Only healer class. Focus Doom Link. Better for high spenders. Essential for raids. |
FAQ
What class should beginners pick?
Knight (tank) is the most forgiving for absolute beginners. Warrior (melee DPS) is the best all-rounder for solo and group play. Sorcerer (magic DPS) excels at farming but is squishy. Mage (support/healer) is essential for group content but slow solo. See the Classes guide for a full comparison.
How do I plan a build as a beginner?
Start with a simple template, add stability first, then optimize. Warrior Bruiser is the recommended starter build. The Best Builds page has templates for all 4 classes.
Why do "best builds" differ between players?
Progression stage, available skills, execution comfort, and mode goals all change what feels "best". A good build is repeatable and fits your current bottleneck.
How many languages does Sword x Staff support?
The App Store currently shows 7 supported languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.
